AllergyLens is not medical advice and not a guarantee of safety. It is a decision-support tool. Food data is crowdsourced and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and recipes change. Always read the physical label and, for a severe or life-threatening allergy, confirm every product yourself. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
What AllergyLens does
It looks up products, reads ingredient text (including on-device from a photo), and flags ingredients that match the allergen profiles you set up. Any AI features are assistive and can be wrong. The result is a starting point, never a substitute for reading the label or for professional medical advice.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your allergen profiles accurate and up to date.
- Always verify a product against its physical label before eating, especially for severe allergies.
- Only share profile or list links with people you trust; they carry the data inside them.
- Use the service lawfully and don't try to disrupt or abuse it.
No warranty
AllergyLens is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of results. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that product data is correct.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the makers of AllergyLens are not liable for any harm, loss or damages arising from use of the service or reliance on its results. You use it at your own risk and remain responsible for your own food-safety decisions.
Privacy
AllergyLens stores your data on your device and does not require an account. See the Privacy Policy for the details of what stays on-device and the few things that leave it.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
